Terms and conditions
Three documents set out how we work and what each side is responsible for.
Which of them applies depends on what we are doing for you. Support and managed arrangements are covered by the maintenance terms, one off work by the business terms, and the acceptable use policy applies to anybody using services we provide.
If anything in them is unclear, ask us before you sign rather than afterwards. We would rather explain a clause than rely on it.
- Business terms and conditions for defined pieces of work
- Maintenance terms and conditions for support and managed arrangements
- Acceptable use policy for services we provide
- Privacy policy for how we handle personal information
Which document applies to you
In most cases you will be given the relevant document with the quotation, before any work begins.
Where an arrangement continues month to month, the terms in force are the ones you were given when it started, unless we have written to you about a change.
A defined project
The business terms apply: scope, price, payment, timescales and what happens if either side needs to change something.
Support or managed IT
The maintenance terms apply: what is covered each month, how requests are handled, notice periods and what happens at the end.
Services we host or provide
The acceptable use policy applies to everybody using them, and it is worth reading if you have staff working remotely.
What we commit to, in plain words
The documents above are the legal position. These are the things we hold ourselves to regardless of what a contract says, and you can ask us about any of them before you commit.
- Your accounts stay yours The domain, the licences, the cloud subscription and the search accounts are in your organisation’s name.
- You can leave Access and documentation are handed back. We would rather you stay because the work is good.
- Changes in writing Anything outside an agreed scope is priced and approved before it is done.
- No claims we cannot prove No certifications we do not hold and no figures without a source.
- An honest recommendation Including when the answer is to do nothing, or to stay with your current supplier.
Questions about the terms?
Ask before you sign. We will explain any clause in plain words, and if something in them does not fit your situation we would rather discuss it now.
